Insulated Conductors twisted into pairs.

Varying lay length is designed to minimize the cross talk and capacitance unbalance.

CABLE CORE

10 or 25 pairs are stranded to form a group called unit.

Units/Super Units make up cables of 50 pairs and above.

The Interstices between pairs are filled with water resistant filling compound.

JELLY FILLING

Jelly shall be filled in the interstices of cable core.

CORE WRAP

Non-Hygroscopic Dielectric Tape applied hellically or longitudinally over cable core fully filled with filling compound.

SCREEN

Electrically continuous 0.2 mm thick aluminium tape coated with co-polymer on both sides applied longitudinally and overlapped to form a moisture barrier.
